Sorry it has been so long that I  have done anything with this web site. Trying to raise 2 kids and take care of about 100 rats. Then get time in during the day or night to work on the site is not very easy. Please I ask that you be pashent with me and I will do what I can. In the mean time if you are looking for a particuler rat. Just e-mail me. I just may have it.

That is all the pictures I have at this time of adoptables.

Here are the days and hours that I am open. Sunday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday and Saturday from 2 PM to 10 PM. This is for adoptions and surenders. If you must surender a animal on a Monday or Tuesday. I need a two day advance notice so I can work something out. Please Emergenceys only on Mondays and Tuesdays. 

Method of payment at this time is cash only. I will not except adoptions if you show up with out the money to pay for your rats. To reserve rats if litters are not old enough to be adopted out. You can send cash threw the mail. No money orders at this time please. Will set up a pay pal acount at a latter date. The same with rats that are ready to go home, send cash. Only reserve a rat ready to go if you are not able to pick it up. When you send the money the money will not be spent tell you pick up your rat. If you do not pick your rat up with in the 15 days you said you will pick up your rat. The money goes as a donation and will not be refunded. If for any reason you can not make it the day you are to pick up your rat. Let me kindly know by e-mail or a phone call before the 15 days runs out. 

I want to let everyone know that I am litter training all my rats. That does not mean that all my rats will use a litter pans. I do provide all my adoptable rats even litters that have their eyes open litter pans. I will write more on litter training rats under things you can teach your rats to do. Please bare with me on how fast I get info up. 
 

Our adoption fee is $15 for the first rat and $10 for each additional same gender rat. The reason why our adoption fees are higher than some in the area is so that we can become self sustaining, just as the Chicago area Social Rats Adoptions has become.

We offer a lifetime of advice for the rats that you adopt. Whether it is a medical issue you need help with or a temperament or behavioral question, we are more than happy to help. If you call (765) 891-2730 and you do not get an answer, just leave me a voicemail and I will get back with you soon. My phone is also txt capable, so you can txt me questions as well.

All rats come with a health guarantee as well. While it was thought to be implied, with some of the rat breeders in IN, they do not offer this guarantee, so we want to make sure you know if you have an issue with the rats, please do not hesitate to contact me to let me know. If it occurs within 30 days and it is something did or could have started at our rattery, we will treat for free, if after 30 days or we do not believe that it is something that was our fault, then we will help you treat it for a minimal fee. A round of antibiotics from us is ONLY $2.50 (no the decimal is not in the wrong place) AND that includes a syringe and dosing instructions as well. This does NOT just apply to rats that you adopt from us, but for any rats that you need treated. As long as you feel comfortable enough to treat them, I am more than happy to help you with it.

Sweet and Loving Rats is part of the Social Rats Rescue network. We do take in rats in need in our local area. We also accept donations of cages and supplies to help to care for our rescues as well. Please keep in mind that we are a breeder that takes in rescues. If, however, we do not have the room to breed, our breeding will be put on hold to care for the rescues in our home. We are willing to work with most type of rat situations, taking in both males and females, those who are pregnant or have a litter. We will take in the babies from accidental litters. We prefer not to work with aggressive rats, but will work with rats that are fear biting. If you are interested in fostering for us, please let me know.

Sweet and Loving Rats is the Indianapolis area location for Social Rats Rescue and will be dealing directly with fosters in this area. We do not currently have any supplies to loan out to fosters, nor are we able to help with food or supplies at this time.
